Kundalini Yoga

Do you want to leave your class feeling like you’ve gone to therapy, had an awesome workout in the gym, made it to your yoga mat and enjoyed a fun singing session with friends?  Kundalini yoga does just that. It provides a modality by which people can achieve their maximum creative potential, free themselves from Karma and realize their Life Purpose.  Whether you are an experienced practitioner or a newcomer to Kundalini Yoga, this class will help you connect to your higher energy resulting in more balance in body and mind. As taught by Yogi Bhajan.  Join our Kundalini Yoga teacher Debbie – Sada Ram Kaur, for a weekly uplifting blend of spiritual and physical practices, Kundalini Yoga incorporates movement, dynamic breathing techniques, meditation, and the chanting of mantras. Sat Nam.

A yoga mat (we have mats in the studio if you don’t have your own), a sheepskin if you have one and water to keep hydrated

Yoga for Mindfulness and Relaxation

After years of exploring different styles of yoga, and in a bid to satisfy the requirements of her varied clientele, Debbie started to structure some of her yoga classes to target important elements that she felt other classes were lacking; mindfulness and relaxation.  Debbie has a very unique way of weaving these elements into traditional (and maybe not so traditional) yoga poses to ensure that each and every one of her students experience yoga in its entirety.  Yoga for Mindfulness and Relaxation classes do just this.  A combination of stretching, strengthening, balancing, twisting, folding and bending with the added application of a mindful approach and each session beginning and ending with the ultimate relaxation experience of savasana, yoga nidra, visualisations and/or meditations.  It is Debbie’s philosophy that everyday life has enough triggers for challenges and stresses, and definitely the yoga mat is not the place to accentuate this by trying even harder to get into a deeper variation of a pose or balancing a little longer.  Every student is encouraged to tune into their body, do the best they can and trust the process.  

Everyone is welcome to these classes, even teens accompanied by a responsible adult!

What To Bring?

A yoga mat (we have mats in the studio if you don’t have your own), a cushion and blanket that much deserved relaxation and water to keep hydrated

Friday evenings from 7.00am till 8.30pm

How Much?

Each session costs £8 or £28 for a block of 4 sessions.

Please note that numbers vary from week to week, so it is always recommended that you book and prepay in advance to reserve your space.

One2Ones

Yoga was traditionally taught by one teacher directly to one student, since it has always been understood that each yoga experience should be tailored to cater for the individual’s specific needs. One to One yoga sessions are the perfect way to work with any special health concerns, injuries or limitations that you may experience. Debbie can help you tailor and create specific yoga practices designed to help meet your unique goals. At the first appointment, Debbie will gather information about your general health history and well-being to allow her to gain some insight into how yoga can be implemented to help you reach their goals. This may be followed by a gentle Yoga session. Debbie will provide a recommended path of yoga practice suitable for you. Through reflective pranayama and asana practise, as well as observations, you will gradually be lead closer towards their goal – whether you wants to ‘use’ yoga as a way of managing an illness or injury, or indeed to take their physical ability to the next level.One to one Yoga sessions are an investment for your personal growth and health. They are a great way to start your yoga practice in a solid footing before joining a regular class, or indeed the ideal way to provide targeted practice and exclusive attention for those recovering from illness, managing an injury or health condition. These sessions can be carried out either in the luxury of your own home, or indeed at Debbie’s home in Yeovil. Alternatively, arrangements can be made to hire the studio space at Nine Springs Natural Health centre to accommodate these sessions. Prices will vary, so please contact Debbie directly for prices and availability.
