Brief explanation of the therapy
Kinesiology can be considered a hybrid therapy of Chinese muscle testing techniques and Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic techniques which listen to the body and its subconscious to communicate what is needed. This information is then used to help bring about change. Kinesiology includes teachings from other modalities, which makes it an extremely flexible therapy.
What can the client expect at the first appointment?
Your first session will last about 90 minutes. During this time a full history will be taken, covering many aspects of your health. You will also discuss the reason why you are seeking out treatment and what you would like to achieve from the session. Most of the work takes place on a massage bed in an environment similar to a massage room. Your kinesiologist will then use one, or a combination of modalities to determine imbalances in your energetic system and then to subsequently restore health and balance to your system. You will finish the session with an overview of what has been addressed during the session and a summary of any relevant homework or lifestyle changes that are necessary.
What will happen in a session?
Subsequent sessions will vary in duration according to the client’s needs, but will last no longer than 60 minutes. The kinesiologist will discuss progress with the client at each session, and decide which modalities to approach together during the session. In every session, the client will be treated holistically to take into account all aspects of the triad of health.
How many sessions should the client need before they see a result?
There is no standard answer: it depends entirely on the individual. Treatment offered will be at the correct pace for the client.
